Vic Nomad half-stop?
on: November 28, 2013, 07:14:34 PM
Today, I bought a Victorinox Nomad (this one:

I noticed the knife has a half-stop, just like the bottle opener.. (well, technically, it's a bit further than half, say at 100 degrees) Does anyone know why? I don't remember it being on my OHT...

It is a safety feature, it ensures the blade won't open or close fully unless you want it to. This same feature would be hindering the OHO function though  ;)

Edit: The Nomad is a very cool :tool:

I have a Forester. I like the red/black contrast on the handles (no T&T though) and the saw is always welcome, especially at that size. Mainly, however, I like the fact that it is one of the few Vic knives where the blade is placed at the handle's center. Haaaaleluya!!  :pok:

It -is- very cool, indeed :) I really like the fact that it doesn't have a saw, as I've only ever used a saw -once- on an MT... So I don't really need it on a SAK

I got the one with the standard black handles, so I -do- have the t&t :)
