I was at the Southport Airshow yesterday. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight was flying, and they were joined by a second Lancaster from Canada.

Beautiful old girls :)

I've always had a soft spot for the Fiesler Storch :) Any aircraft you can land almost like a helicopter has to be impressive IMO

Sent from the astropathic choir.

Very cool Millhouse. :tu:  A Storch and a PBY!  Yesterday a B-17G flew over my house, didn't get my phone out in time to get a pic. :(  My brother said it was at the county airport near him.

Canberra.

On Thursday I was outside the store and I heard piston engines.  Looked up to see a B-24J and a P-51D going overhead!  A bunch of customers stopped in the lot and watched them go by as well.  Very cool.  :tu:

Great videos Millhouse, thanks!  :tu:  All four of those aircraft are classics.  I've seen P-51's, Huey's, and Hunters in flight, but never a Canberra.  The only Canberra I've ever seen close up was a Martin B-57 in a museum.  EE had such a good design there that the US built them under license.

The little plane in that pic is a Hawker Hunter.  I thought that was what you were referring to.

The one closest to the camera: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=48278.0;attach=131471

I think the one in the back is the Hawker Hunter (absolutely a cool plane as well), but the one closer looks like the Canberra? Or is it something else?

Is she a B(I) or an early mark PR?

Several of NASA's RB-57F's have flown missions over Afghanistan, probably as communications relay points.  NASA actually pulled an RB out of storage from the boneyard where it had been for over 40 years and returned it to flight status only a few years ago.  I know, they're not PR9's, but they're still Canberras........
