Cutting Alox for corkscrew

I know cutting alox for corkscrew has been done.  Is this an 84 or 93mm mod?

Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, it's been done a couple of times on the Cadet and some on the 93mm range, but it was never too pretty. The problem is you need a 4th pin for the back tools, and that one comes in the shield. You could reverse the scales, but ...  There's also the hidden rivet method but I'm not sure how that would work on the cadet.

Also as the scales on the alox line are thinner, the back layered tools stick too much out in my opinion, not so nice.

I cant remember who did it on a 93 but it was done.  I remember asking what he used for a spring and it was a custom made one.
PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.

For the hidden pin method all you do is use a liner to get the hole location and drill it. Just don't go through  the whole scale. Also you will need to drill the springs in the same location as the pin floats. Or you could peen it to 2 liners such as a long nail file ;)
