Nice Gerber shots, Magentus and ThePeacent#

I carried my 800 today. Pretty nice MT. :)
Had the bit adapter, bits, RemGrit blade, and long wood blade in sheath. Swiss made fine wood/metal blade in it right now for a splash of color. :D

Carried the Flik today. It is great if you have a SAK for the screwdrivers. Which I did. :)

Thank you, magentus! And nice combo there!
It is a very interesting multitool. I like the way Gerber approached their first attempt to compete with the LM Wave.
I appreciate the complexity of the design. But, even though it has its' flaws, the pliers are beefy and strong. Scissors are FANTASTIC. And, lastly, the Flik can be pocket carried, unlike the 400, because the pliers tuck all the way into the frame.
Mine needs to be used more since I have the one I pictured (mildly used) and a mint one for the collection.

Thanks for the info GBLM  :salute: I've developed a real soft spot for Gerber MT's - they each have their own personalities kind of.  I find Vic and LM a bit lacking in that. I realise that sounds a bit wierd

Completely understood and I couldn't  agree more.
LM and Vic seem to take their plier based multitool designs VERY seriously. Which is a good thing when it comes to reliability and longevity. But, there is something to be said and liked about some of Gerber's quirky and absurd designs. Some are even "fun" to have, even if they are not actually good in any way. :tu:
The Flik, Freehand, Steady, Balance, Radius, and a few more qualify. Gerber has some "serious" tools (like your 400 for example), but even those stand out from the crowd. :)

stole my words,  :pok:
Gerber makes extremely odd and curious tools that move away from the typical MT designs  :ahhh, the Octane, Grappler, Cable Dawg and Crucial also fill a niche that no other tools really reach, ::), and the MP1 and non-pliers tools are also oddities with cool features  :tu:

I'd love to have a try at all of them, the FLIK has always been on my watch list but the prices they ask for it are usually stratospheric
