I've had a Gerber Dime on my keys, pretty much since they first came out. It's always been a back up though, and even when my keys are in my pocket, I'm usually reaching for some other tool first.

Today, I just carried a spare Dime, and a small cheap barlow style knife, and the Gerber has impressed me. I already knew the Phillips could be used on PH2 headed screws that don't need high toque, but today it handled the tiny screws on a Photon light for a battery change, and it worked brilliantly. It also wedged open a couple of split rings, so I could get a start on winding stuff through them.

The package opener was used to get the new batteries out, and the tweezers helped set the screws back in the holes when I was fumbling them with my fingertips. The cutters trimmed a couple of zip ties, and the pliers pulled a bit more wick through on a petrol lighter before the scissors trimmed it up neatly.

It's not done any real heavy lifting, but it's been a very useful little helper today.  :tu:

This particular model is by far my favourite in the MP series. Love the BO, Blunt nose and the original wire cutter!  :tu: I really need to bring mine out sometimes.

 :like:  As with the Snap On MP600, I've always wanted one of those, but couldn't justify the cost.  But, it's worth it given the steel upgrade from 420HC (standard Gator) to S30V. That makes 3 steel choices for one model--154CM, S30V, and 420HC.

Nice! Yeah, the Gator is a very comfortable folder to carry. I slip it into a pocket, forgetting it's there. I've seen folks drill a lanyard hole through the rubber handle.
