Hope your mums ok mate.
My sincerest thanks to you as always, MD. I hate that I've sidetracked this thread (once again, my fault). My karma's been very bad lately, hopefully it won't rub off.I'm going to check out my SOG scissors tonight and see how they cut. I'll post back tomorrow after I know. Thanks again to you all, Bill.
Oddly, I had thought of posting on a similar experience in the Leatherman section. I haven't used my SOG scissors yet, but I have used my Leatherman scissors for the first time this week. My mother has been hospitalized for a bit more than a week. I was sitting with her when a couple of nurses were bandaging her. They had misplaced their scissors and I decided to make a test. I had a Schrade Toughchip and my old Wave. The Toughchip would not cut one thread in the gauze (some sort of high strength mesh), but rather bent the threads between the blades. The Wave's scissors, on the other hand, would sever the gauze before the blades even closed, and their design did not hinder cutting in the least. I was VERY impressed as were the nurses. I was then warned that having the Wave on hospital grounds was forbidden! Keep it hidden or leave it in the car! Sorry to prattle, Bill.
