even though I don't EDC Surge on me anymore, I still EDC it in my computer bag, that is not going to change anytime soon.
I post a photo later.

Thanks man.

the ST300 sheath fits the Surge very well. in my case I use it to store the bit kits and Piranha, and all saw blades go into the tube came with PWII.
The main reason I don't EDC Surge anymore is that one needs to carry all the accessories to take FULL advantage of the mighty Surge.

So the Surge itself I am fine with it, just all the accessories are pain to EDC on person.
So they live in my computer bag now.

I couldn't agree more.  I have tried to limit my Surge accessory work carry but then inevitably need the item or items I left behind.  Yesterday was a great example however I had everything I needed with me.  I could "get away" with just the tool but WHY?  You said it perfectly  "take FULL advantage of the mighty Surge."  :tu:

I use my surge quite hard, being a truck electrician/mechanic is quite sore on the mighty surge but its the only mt I'd use for the job

Just got a NEW SURGE delivered!  It's my first BO Leatherman and my first Surge.

I guess the included leather sheath can't carry more than one bit card.  I'd love to keep the saw/file in the sheath too.

I wasn't too happy with the leather sheaths capability myself and ordered the nylon one JIC.  I have been using it and it's works pretty good but it's still pretty stuffed.

Good idea, I swapped the leather sheath for the nylon one from my ST300.  No problem holding one card & the saw.

Thanks.

Add me to this list. Got my BO Surge a few days ago. I probably would have been satisfied with my Wave as my Work EDC but I wanted useful cutters and the larger size (better leverage) and scissors on the outside was icing on the cake. I use the scissors a whole lot when doing water and chemical testing (have to open these tiny reagent packages by the hundreds) so the Surge is a very welcome addition.

I really like the look/function of the New Surge, but even aside from it's large size, I'm a bit concerned about this lose pocket clip issue. I like and use a pocket clip and would want that fixed before I bought one...

Sadly LM don't "see" that is a problem, so they are not going to fix it any time soon.
I glued it secure and it is ok, but not great.

To me, the biggest advantage of the mighty Surge also is its biggest drawback = accessories

Accessories are just something you need to carry with some tools. I carry bits for my Rebar/Wave everywhere I go and that doesn't bother me. Just add those add-ons to your Skinth :tu:

The Wave is a great tool no doubt and it served me very well for work BUT the Surge is just that much better all around.  I had an old version and it was great but the new one again is just that much better.  Welcome and great tool choice  :tu:

Congrats,  the pocket clip is an accessory which is sold separately.  Did you get SS of BO?

SPY VS SPY

I owe you one, Aloha. I've been struggling for names for these two tools. I have a bad habit of naming things I become attached to. Spy 1 for the MUT. And Spy 2 for the Surge.

Ok, Since about 2 weeks I´m a member of this club.
It is really the beast that everybody said it would be. Used it alot already, loving it.
Well the smaller flathead driver is very close to the flat driverbit in the bitholder. Maybe they could used that space
for something else. It´s almost a perfect mt if such thing exists.

Does anyone know if Leatherman is making replacement saw/file (the ones with a hole in handle) for the new Surge?
I can't find it anywhere.

LM's web site states the old style saw/file is good for both version of Surge.

Do LM make surge w/ S30V blade like in Charge tti?

and how much better is S30v vs 420 steel?
A little review would be nice

Thanks :)

They don't make S30V for Surge.
S30v has much better edge retention, but I am not sure how much.

Apologies if I'm saying the obvious, but that fitting is simply a traditional Bosch standard jigsaw blade. Most jig saws use the same standard, so you can go to Bosch, Lenox, whatever and have a choice of hundreds of different blades -- put a hacksaw blade in, a carbide one, files, scrapers, you name it. I usually carry it with a fine tooth hacksaw blade but that's just my preference.
