Got my Powerlock S60 today!

Got my Powerlock S60 today!

Been 15 days since I ordered my Powerlock and I finally got it in the mail. My first impression was. "This is a big tool", and I like that it's big. I was disappointed that it's the old version I got, but at the moment I have no problem that the gears are not covered.

When it comes to the tool covers I'm not sure about them. Sure it's comfortable too have when I'm using the pliers, but I feel that their in the way when opening and closing the tools and they cover the metric ruler, that's a bummer since we use the metric system in Norway. Will EDC it with and without the covers for a wile too find out what I like best.

I like the Compound Leverage on it, tried the Penny trick that Spoonrobot showed us http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,4493.0.html I tried it on several coins and really used all my power when doing this, but no success. Guess I have to workout more. Butt I notice that the compound leverage is there.

Did not like the 1/2 serrated blade from the first time I saw it and have therefore ordered a strait and serrated blade from SOG, not sure which tool to replace with the serrated blade, maybe the 1/4 drive since I don't se myself using that tool.

Don't like the new can openers that SOG use so I will replace it wit the can opener on my Paratool.

The scissor is not the best that I have used so thinking about replacing it with the V-cutter, but I also can't se me using the V-cutter that much. So time will show what I'm going too use.

The Phillips and 1/4 drive has two locking slots so you can use them in tight places, well, their impossible to use in the first locking position since you can't fold the tool together. Posted a pic.

Overall. I had high expectations about the Powerlock, but thanks too you guys I knew what I was getting. I'm happy with the Powerlock and it's a good MT too replace my Paratool. I just got it and haven't given it a real shakedown, but I will keep you updated.

Good to hear that the new tool arrived safely Medic. Also interesting that you are already planning to swap out some blades for an arrangement that suits you better. Its fabulous that SOG allows and encourages their customers to do this. :)

That's one of the things I like about SOG, is there a tool you don't like, just swap it. Just wish SOG would include all the tools when you buy a MT. Butt then they probably wouldn't make that much money
