"A Christmas Story" and "A Christmas Carol - 1951 flick"

Edit* I have Scrooge on my mind and replaced it with the proper move title.

The one I associate with christmas is "It's a Wonderful Life" with James Stewart.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0038650/

You know the one "each time a bell rings an angel gets its wings"

But yeah, Die Hard series seems to be a regular during the holidays here too.

Flash Gordon too when I was a kind but I haven't seen it in ages now.

One that I'll always associate with Christmas is Flash Gordon. 8)  Seemed to be on TV every single Christmas of my childhood. :dd:

Didn't even have to think about it - It's A Wonderful Life.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles.  Makes me laugh every time.   :D  The one that seems to be on every year for as long as I can remember is Clash of the Titans.

1st above all others: It's a wonderful Life, the best Christmas movie I've ever seen!

Close second would be now having a machine gun, singing "Let it snow", an enormous Teddy bear and a .44  ;)

And for all german speaking readers: "Familie Hoppenstedt wünscht frohe Weihnachten! - Muss das sein?"

 Whatever your choice might be, I wish you a merry christmas!  :drink:

I'd say A Christmas Story as well, I recently found out they made a sequel :ahhh  :twak: but it didn't live up to the awesomeness of the original.

Bad Santa is great, but especially for the (very adult) parking lot scene  :o

Lion In Winter with Peter O'Toole, Katherine Hepburn, Anthony Hopkins and a very young Timothy Dalton.  I watch it every Christmas.

While not technically a movie, we also watch  "Christmas In Yellowstone"

and we also watch Alone in the Wilderness with Dick Proenneke.

Had to think about that for a minute.     I thought you meant for my split sides.

If I'm going to be wearing any antlers this Christmas I would prefer to use a plastic headband please.   :D

Sorry, that was my favorite moment in the movie!

For the folks that aren't familiar with it, Bill Murray is a heartless TV executive producing a modern retelling of Scrooge, completely missing the fact that he is Scrooge, staging a live performance for Christmas.

One of the things he does is meets with one of the props guys who is trying to put tiny antlers on some mice.  He's having trouble and says he has tried glue, rubber bands etc.  Without missing a beat Bill Murray says in his typical nonchalant manner "Have you tried staples?" to which the prop guy looks completely horrified!

I think National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation would be mine.  I also like Scrooged, but haven't seen it in years.  Of course as a kid, I always liked the traditional ones, like Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, etc.  My wife loves the Jim Carrey live action Grinch movie.

gremlins!

That was my vote  :tu:

I watched it last night, but they had cut out most of the kitchen scene where the gremlins get microwaved and blended etc

I discovered yesterday that there were members of my sister-in-law's family who had never seen A Christmas Story!  :o  Luckily TBS was doing their annual marathon.  They've all seen it now, and I was polite and only quoted two or three scenes, and even then quietly.  ;)
