I ran across 2 Ideal brand knives at the same auction. What are the odds of that. Anyway neither knife is in really good shape, but both have charm. I have included pictures for you edification. One knife is a 2 blade pen knife, while the other knife is a mini trapper knife. Both are made in Providence RI USA. So they a piece of Americana. I especially like the duct tape touch on the handle of the top knife.

A lot of older can opens didn't have nail nicks, they just used what we call now a thumbstud. Some did use the stud on the rim of the can. Not the case with this one I think.sent from Nate's mobile
