I bought 3 Vic Spirits and they came in the following packages:

Spirit regular in its leather brown pouch in a small box
Spirit Bloack Oxide in its nylon pouch in a small box
Spirit regular combo package with a "free" Vic Rambler and leather brown pouch in a plastic clamshell

When I order Vic SAKs from Amazon, they usually come in the small grey boxes with a little plastic tray inside the box that the SAK sits on.  If I order a Vic SAK that has some kind of "free" gift like a Classic, it's always in a plastic clamshell.

If I walk into a sporting goods store, like REI, I always see the Vic SAKs hanging on a wall in their clamshells.

Do they all come with the U.S userguides ?

That sounds just about right. Remember when you emailed Vic and they said the the signed SwissTool was done in the US? Maybe they do that with the packaging also?

Thank you for my thread Dunc.  :twak:  :D

I saw a few comments about the blade on the Spirit and to me it makes sense to have this blade on there.  This is because I see the Spirit as a compliment to a SAK and therefore with the serrated blade, it gives the carrier a wider option of blades.
I'm back!!

Yes the funny blade is a good talking point ( or lack of one ) . It is very sharp , the edge is at the bottom of the tool unlike inside opening multitools and its easily sharpened on the sharpmaker .Some people have asked in the past if it would make a good rescue blade and to be honest it wouldnt as its too short but it would be ok if it was the only blade you have and would be better then say a clip point .Pair it with a Sparten or Soldier or Climber and your sorted , theres so many options to choose and a Spyderco UKPK would go great with it .
