The local Wenger agent just called me...

He said he has a few things for me from the repair shop. hehe. Can't wait!

well it was not as cool as I had hoped. I was expecting six sets of classic Wenger scales, but they said that new Wenger classic scales do not fit on old Wenger Saks. is this true?  I think someone was being lazy or lying.

But they did replace the scales on my new Wenger models, I rather dislike the evo scales and I now have low profile classic scales on a new forester and custom 754:



I just wish I could get rid of the saw layer on my 754, it would be pretty much perfect then!

Why don't you like the evo scales? I quite like the look of the yellow ones, but I've never seen one in the flesh, uh, plastic.

Those were some of the first Wengers I bought because the yellow evo scales.

Evo scales for me work well on thinner Saks, but at 4 layers plus they get too thick. I kind of like the yellow color, but it makes the sak feel a bit like a toy. Yellow classic scales would be cool.for sure!

Wenger scales are tricky. There were quite a rew versions and variations of them. So the new scales won't go on old knives.
