hey i have a leatherman blast, but upon opening it i noticed that the "tracks" are scraping against the handle and the handle scale appears to be slightly bent, but maybe its suppose to be like that becasue if it wasint bent up wards it would be too hard too open ??

There's a little, almost spiral like wedge on the plier head. Is that what you're talking about? That's supposed to engage the outer bit of the handle to keep the pliers fixed. The same ramp on the Wave engages the blade safety catches.
