Turing should have been a hero for his work in cryptography,and for his contribution to the world of computing. Instead,the only tribute he had been given was the logo of Apple

A very long overdue reversal. The man was a hero in our hour of need, he definitely shouldn't have been made a villain just because of his sexuality.

Thankfully we live in more enlightened times

Good to hear it. It was sooner that it sounds. Galileo was pardoned 4 centuries after his death and the eastern orthodox church 8 centuries after the siege of Constantinople from the western crusaders.

This is good to hear.  Turing certainly deserved better for his contributions to the war effort.  Being able to read the other guys' mail is a huge advantage, and in the Western theater Turings' work helped make that possible.

It's good they pardoned him (for what exactly, actually?  ) although I find 60 years post mortem is a tad late. Some recognition, although I understand the saying "Dura lex sed lex".
