Of the ones I own, this Victorinox V-7 is my favorite.  It's nothing fancy, but it has proven to be durable and extremely accurate:

I don't think they're made anymore, unfortunately.  I see them on Ebay on occasion.  They were made with blue and red faces.

That's a pretty watch!  Too big for me though--I'd have to put that one on my ankle.

Love those things... Calculator, chrono, timer, alarm, time zones, phone book, scheduler... It's like having a little PDA on your wrist.  :D

Well, I have a bunch of different watches. I have a few GShock's, a Rolex, a few Invicta's, and lastly a Fossil. To be honest, I like the GShocks the best. They are tough, cheap, and comfortable. I wear my Rolex on special occasions..

I haven't gotten a new watch in a while- still got two Victorinox watches, a Wenger watch, two G-Shocks, a Seiko Orange Monster, a Casio Telememo and a Waltham pockesmurfch.

I'll try to get some pics and post them shortly.

I agree that G-Shocks are great watches.

Got one as a gift in 1990 and wore it many times while swimming, caving, canoeing, and backpacking.  A really tough watch that just shrugged off massive abuse.

Misplaced it for nearly 10 years, then found it again about two years ago and it was still running fine.

Sometime in the last week it finally quit - over 18 years running on the original batteries ain't bad!

Nothing wrong with the cheapos that tell time- that places them better than some high dollar watches like Rolexes that are pretty unreliable!  My Orange Monster isn't too bad, but then I don't wear it all the time, and have to reset it most of the time when I do wear it because it's stopped.

Not only that, but automatic watches are notorious for keeping inaccurate time, even when working.  Not a big deal for most folks, but if you are someone that is a stickler for details, or think that a $5,000 watch should tell the right bloody time, it can be a real source of annoyance!

Since I let me Seiko run down all the time, I'm always resetting it anyway, so it doesn't really matter much to me.  Plus, if you need the exact time, most cell phones nowadays are connected to a giant server that sets the time for you.  Still, that would probably be more annoying- your $0 phone tells better time than your $5,000 Rolex!  I might find it fitting if the Rolex at least had decent call quality....  :ahhh

I don't own it, nor would I be stupid enough to spend that kind of money on a watch, but this is one of my favorites:

I really like that.  Very tasteful and utilitarian.  You can't go wrong with a Maratac band either--I now have one on the Victorinox that I posted earlier.

I believe it is as well.

Don't really know too much about it, so if anyone has any info I'd be interested to hear it.  :)

I have only ever seen them on ebay.  The model number is 79102 so the occasional search with that should bring one up in time.

Tim at Felinevet has access to Wenger watches, so you may want to contact him for his best price on one before pulling the trigger on eBay.

Thanks guys!!

I only have a Eddie Bauer that my wife bought me when we were dating and a Bulova that I bought for myself to wear on our wedding day.

I usually don't wear a watch, except going out somewhere nice or when I go to church.

I can't have anything metal on my hands during work and I just usually use the cell phone to tell my time.

My favorite watch was a Lumi-nox SS night diver.  However, the crystal cracked when the band broke and I ran it over with the 5000lb. piece power equipment that I was driving.  It still keeps time perfectly though.

I stopped wearing a watch years ago and only recently (in the last couple or years) started wearing one again.  My preference is for leather straps (depending on the watch of course) and when I got my first dog Pete, he had a nasty habit of eating anything leather.  He also made a game of trying to tear things off my wrists.  Watches didn't last long at that point, so I got out of the habit of wearing them.  A SOSAK member named Drew, who G-forces guys will also know (and he is a member here but we haven't seen him for a while!) sent me this one:

I wear it pretty often, and alternate mostly between it, my Seiko Diver and a G-Shock I got in a trade with a member here.  My other G is pretty valuable to me and I don't want to lose it, and the other watches don't appeal to me as much.  My black Vic watch needs to be repaired:

But I haven't gotten around to sending it in.  I like this one alot and it's usually part of my rotation, but due to it's mechanical issues, it doesn't se emuch action.  It used to be (and eventually will be again) my hard use watch.

My Wenger watch is great- I love it, but I never wear it due to it being unique and because it has a plastic case:

Unlike the G's, it's not a metal case with plastic over it, it's just plastic.  I'd break it in mere moments if I tried wearing it.
