The briefcase looks like a great way to make part of your collection portable for show and tell. If you have a real big collection, I can think of better ways of storage.

Same here, especially since there are similar cases that sell for less than one third that price. They may not be customized with the Vic logo or have the different sizes but seriously that is a lot of money for a vinyl case .

The similarly sized United Cutlery UC1338 (imitation leather though) sells for $11.52 currently. I was expecting this to go for up to maybe $40 but almost $200.

All Victorinox luggage is premium priced. This case is no exception.

They say it is a collector's case, but add usual they are missing out on a key piece of collector mentality.  The fold out section, when filled with knives will impact and rub the ones in the outer sections.  If you try to put ALOX models in there especially they will wear prematurely, which is a giant no no for collectors.

The $200 price tag isnt too bad If it is high quality leather. But yes it needs a protective flap in the middle

It has a removable protection insert that for some reason is not shown in the photos.

Missed this part where it shows it is made of leather. I like the case but it really is over priced.
