Thanks a lot Crow. I use all kind of tools (files, abrasives, diamond points...). You can have a try on a 2 mm steel bar. It's quite the thickness of a blade.

Here's the last one, an Alox Pioneer which became a deer antler Pioneer. I did brass liners because the Alox scales didn't need liners (the center one is stainless steel). Vine fileworked blade :

Here are the two finished today. First an Excutive with marbled zebu horn, and all pieces fileworked :



And a deer antler Wenger Ranger. Fileworked main blade (classic pattern) and center spring (modern pattern) and its two liners :
