I'm with everyone else. The can opening method was cool. And for as often as its needed, IRL, I think that might be enough.

EDIT:

I just tested the can opening thing.

SMURF THAT!

The problem here is that you have to apply a LOT of force to that small flat portion of the carabiner/cap lifter to get it to cut the can, and it hurts like a mother-smurfer. I got about 2 inches along the rim of the can before switching to my next-less-terrible can opening option, the dinky can opener on my Sheffleid 12010. After trying the Style, the Sheffield was like a tiny slice of smurfing HEAVEN.

I don't know if the metal of the can I used was thicker or that guy had kung-fu hands or what, but smurf that! I'd rather just repeatedly drive the flathead into the can to cut it open.

Of course this method is not completely replace can opener. This is in case of his absence. And not so strong I :)

Maybe putting an edge on it would help the so called opener.

Unfortunately, that area is where you rest your thumb when using the carabiner as a cap lifter. Probably not a big deal as you're not pressing on it but still.

I don't know if I'll ever need this tool as a can opener, but I DO know I'll need that cap lifter. Priorities, man! :D

Video may be in Russian, but we all speak Multi. But I am getting the impression that Russian can is weaker than American can

I think our cans do that, too, though. Jagged edges and stuff like that :P
