Big you say. How many layers? And will it be a purely 84mm tools mod or will there be any cross size/brand modding?

Interested parties want to know. >:D

Looking forward to updates.

Sounds fun!

If you're trying to maximize layers there is lots you can add.  Another modder put a fishscaler on an 84...  :D

I'm sure it could/should feature a Wenger wrench and inline Philips. Probably would need a couple of opener layer springs to make the thickness. Don't have measuring gear and said parts to hand.

I'm guessing you're excluding back layered tools. ;)

The basics are obvious, knife blade/nail file, scissors, saw from My First Vic, opener layer. But that's about it for Vic blades. The 84mm Electrician isn't exactly easy to find.

I would get a Wenger serrated Master and harvest the pliers and the serrated blade from it. So having both the PE and SE blades.

And the wrench/phillips layer is a must. If you get that layer from a new style Motorist like the one PTRSAK got today, you can even harvest the metal file. :tu:

The only problem will be the backsprings. :-\ But still doable I think.

For the phillips / wrench layer, find a backspring from the old grey mag glass layer from a 91mm Vic.  It just needs to be shortened a bit and it will work pefect.  The modern springs are goofy and the pivot ends are too short.

That was the first thing I did when you gave me the advice last time.  Works like a charm!  Thank you Sir.

Fish scaler?  Well, the digorger wont work on a 5/0 hook so I might make a marlin spike instead.  I have more than a few of these laying around so I'll be able to play with shape.  Hopefully I can retain the scale.

Step one.  Take deep breath and drill.  Make sure knife does not drift and drill.  Punch out rivets and enjoy the Alox in it's full nakedness.  Few people get to enjoy the anodized "unseen" side of Alox.  I just received a "silver" old cross and it was red as a beauties lips on the inside.

Step 2. The dirty step.  Begin cutting equal amounts of A and B liners out of G10.  That's for tomorrow.

Maybe I'll send the cadet scales in for another bath.

Ah.. got some anodizing done?  :tu:  I did a couple sets of the 58s before but the place I used didnt like having to do such small parts as they dont fit the rack well.
