Has the blade been reprofiled :think: looks like a wicked edge and the mod is great.

New Surge blade. They have a little different profile than the older ones. They are also a tad shorter.

And since there is a bit-adapter for this Phillips, you don't loose anything with this mod, but gain better drivers. I love it!  :tu:

My thinking exactly. Also the bottle opener doesn't work on Australian bottle tops (they're a bit different than US ones). It's quicker to get out the knife and open a bottle with that anyway.

I didn't know that, I thought mine was just a bit shorter by chance. However I did notice that the spine of the blade is thicker than the old one.
