Thanks enki. I'll check if I posted all pics. There's a fileworked Alox cigar cutter I have to shoot. I have ideas for new ones.
Thanks also Farmman. Don't hesitate for PM's. I hope we'll see your work soon.

Wow those are amazing! By any chance do you have any handles that are made out of stone?

Thanks Sidhartha for these kind words, knowing your work.
Thanks also Cogito. Not of stone but with materials like Corian or Elforyn wich are a mix between synthetic and mineral materials.
A few years ago I saw some #13 marble Opinel in a knife show by the Opinel Museum in St Jean de Maurienne (The Opinel brand is near in Chambery). It was the work of a stone carver. The knife was assembled but it wasn't folding because of the hardness of the material for cutting the groove.

Searching old pictures I found these. Olivewood/AZ desert ironwood #8 :
And a marble wood garden #8 :
A mammooth/moor oak #2 with damascus blade (I did before the same in #8) :

The smaller ones are lovely, and so is the #8. Its butt end is very elegant.
The damascus #2 is my favorite though! Congrats Michel, your work is just superb!!

Impressive handles! The Corian ones seem excellent as they will not jam the blade when wet.

Thanks WWW and microbe.
I had a try with PEHD 500. It would have the same advantage for use in all conditions but it's very hard to polish.

Michel, looking at your thread here on forum felt like I was walking through an exhibit in a museum looking at works of art and fine craftsmanship resting inside rows of glass cases. Thank You.

Those newest two are just begging for scrimshaw, but they are beautiful as it is!

Thanks ironraven. I'm a beginner for scrimshaw but for complex projects I send knives to a French artist (Christian Camboulives) which does a beautiful work. He also has a personal techique for pyrography, much like scrimshaw. I'll show you better examples, I just find this picture of a rock star caricature from him on a boxwood #8 I made :

LOL! I don't think I want my fingers that close Jager's mouth. But it is beautifully done.
