Thanks WWW. This blade shape allows some designs which wouldn't be possible with the usual yatagan blade.

Clean, simple, easy to clean, hard to hurt, but still elegant.

Now, maybe a bit of a challange, but putting two blades into an Opinel design, say a regular carbon blade and a stainless garden blade? Would you think it possible?

I know a craftsman who dit it. On small sizes it was opposite blades with two rings and for the #12 a standard blade and a wood saw blade on the same ring. It needs adjusting of the assembly ring and the security ring.

I'm late to show you the new ones. A carbon blade #10 with AZ desert ironwood handle. No filework on this order :

A #8 with jay feathers resin inlay (PMMA center) :

It's very delicate for turning but the polishing isn't really a problem.

Hello,
Just finished this morning, two orders for the same model. The only difference are the filework and some details of the woord or carving. Bahia rosewood handle, very hard dark brown/red wood :

I wish I had the time and talent to work up to what you do. Or the money to throw at you and say "make me smile". Sadly, I don't.

Thanks a lot ironraven. You can have a try. I started modding Opinel knives in 2001, trying to improve the technic along the years. Already 13 years, I didn't realize.

We should have more French people here.
French and Italians hold the keys of aesthetics, design and beauty, without meaning to underestimate the rest of the world but that's my opinion.

Just look at that!

Thanks again to all. kkokkolis it's a great compliment. In France we had the occasion to share about Opinel customisation on many forums but the good atmosphere disappeared over the years and sharing also. Thats' why I'm happy to be here.
I also saw nice Opinel mods from Poland, Russia, USA... and other countries. Opinel is present almost everywhere. SAK mods are not in our culture unfortunately.
