Wenger Care Package.
on: January 16, 2014, 05:38:40 PM
Now this is something I haven't seen before. I have a similar care package for Victorinox knives that came in a plastic carrier, but I haven't seen one for Wenger until recently.

A nice set for Wenger collectors, all the more poignant considering Wenger will shortly be no more.

Nice kit. I wonder how well the Vic and Wenger sharpeners work? I've been contemplating picking up one of their pen style sharpeners.

Very nice.  :salute:
Could you post a photo of the Victorinox care package?

The Victorinox is much nicer.

Is this Victorinox set intended for dealers/kniferepairmen or is it really intended for the knive user? There are so many parts in it that it becomes too pricy for a normal customer, IMHO.

You can buy one off of eBay sometimes for 40 to 50 dollars. That is a steal. Try to buy the individual components and see how expensive that gets. So yes, but that shouldn't stop you from buying on if the chance arrives.

Besides...all you need is this kit for fixing springs on Victorinox knives. With this, you can use those extra springs in the above kit. See, no wastage.  :D

Craftsman makes a Pin-punch set of about 5 or 6 punches of different diameters. I find the smaller sizes work perfectly to drive scissor springs out and in.
The set cost me $12.95 about 10 years ago now.
