Who's a Halo fan??
on: November 27, 2014, 05:39:38 PM
So the Halo series of games are probably my all time favourite.  They all have a good story line, and the multiplayer aspect is also really strong. :tu:

Other than the games, I'm also a huge fan of the books, especially the ones written by Eric Nylund.  The others are good, but I prefer his writing style.

One thing I'm ticked off about is that the new Halo 5 will not be released on the Xbox 360!  I guess for Microsoft it's smart, as it'll probably boost Xbox One sales some.

So anyone else here like the Halo franchise?

I love them, I've played every one but the original as I never had the first Xbox. Halo 4's graphics are just unreal. But I think 3's storyline beats it out still.
I'm a total legend..... in my own mind- Herley

I only ever played Halo. In single player only. On PC.

I remember looking at footage from before Microsoft bought Bungie and instead of it being Win/Xbox only it was originally a MAC game...

Yeah, I preferred the story in 3 also. I have a feeling that once I see Halo 5, I'll want to buy a One.

I'm totally useless at first person shooters.

I remember playing Quake 2 online and was totally annihilated.

Played them all, and many times through.  I still play halo 1 anniversary on the 360.  The first one really was my favorite, so the remake was quite enjoyable.

I really should get the remake of the first one as it is quite good.

I find shooter games... frustrating. But I've loved the story so far, I've watched others play through. The major story is classic and overdone, but the relationship of the Master Chief to those around him, especially Cortana, is what has made it for me as a viewer.

When I watched the ending scene of 4, looking at the new Spartans, and guessing they had their own AI support, all I could think is that to John, it must be looking at an army of ghosts and shadows.

Have you watched Forward onto Dawn?  If not, I recommend you do, it's pretty damn good!  I'd love to see a big budget Halo movie, but last I checked, it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. :(
