Thank you all for the suggestions, but due to the condition, I have put in a request to return to the seller.


**EDIT - the seller offered me a partial refund instead of returning it, so I took that and will work on buying some more cleaning products.

@FB - I would go for regular metal polish and a toothbrush - It's mildly abrasive  - The knife will come up beautifully

In the UK this would be Brasso, or something like Autosol

I hope everyone is enjoying he holiday week.  I like to use time off to finish up articles on my blog -- this particular one was a long time in writing, and I thought that all my MTO Swiss Army Knight friends would enjoy the picture I used on the title page.

Thanks!  You are correct, my collection consists of selected representative Model 1961 SAKs.  In time I may go after every year of issue, but I am a married man after all....  ;)

Regarding my oversight in not mentioning MTo or SAKWiki, I have just corrected this.  I actually had this thought, since I owe much of what I know to these two amazing resources and the collecting community, but I finished this post up at 4 AM last night and simply forgot.  Writing for me is an organic process, and I try to jot down ideas when they occur to me, to be fleshed out later.  This one just slipped through the cracks.   At any rate, check it now...
