Have you dumped your cache? I'm using Chrome too and had the old smileys stored so I ctrl+F5 it and all the replies I made (20+) since then didn't contain any errors.

The reply box was weird for me too.  Seems to be centered now and I think it was left aligned before?  I cant remember now though.  Same on my galaxy tablet, its about 3 screens wide and centered.  I dont know how to clear the cache on that, maybe I should figure that out.

2. Touch Menu.
3. Touch Settings.
4. Scroll to and touch Clear cache.
5. Touch Yes.
6. Touch Clear all cookie data.
7. Touch Yes.
8. The cache and cookies have been cleared.

I think the first 5 steps should be enough though.

Nothing seems to eliminate the long reply boxes...using chrome and Windows 8.1.

I am getting a huge reply box, 4 screens wide,  shifted to he right on IE 9

That's lovely. The thing that causes the ultra wide input box is supposedly a fix for IE(internet exploder), and we had to implement other fixes thanks to it for FF/Chrome. I love how IE breaks so much that you have to implement entirely huge amounts of bloat so that it works correctly for it, which then breaks every other browser. 

Blowing out your browser cache should fix it.

on faster machines ie is pretty good and tends to be compatible with most sites.
