DPx Danger Tag

Interesting EDC option. Its a card with perforated edges that break away to form plain and serrated edges. Here's a link to the page. The website overall has a few unique items. There is a SHOT Show interview with the DPx folks and the Danger Tag is demonstrated.

I think someone is over thinking it.

I'm sorry, that just seems like a really, really stupid idea.

I mean, in an emergency situation the number one thing I want to do is wrestle with a slippery little piece of metal trying to tear it out and make a cutting edge?  Sounds like a good way to give yourself another bunch of cuts on the hands.

Also, based on Youtube reviews the Tag cuts about as well as a pair of keys.

Not only that, it looksl ike it has a point! point, two-sided serrated thingy for stabbing belt cutting?

I like this minimal folding sheath design knife, but this Danger Tag seems to pose more danger for the user than for anything else.

if you want to use it for belt cutting do you have to break both sides off?

That has been done in the video by the designer...  Maybe you could just break one side of. But the card seems to be only perforated up to the lanyard hole...
Either way, I would not recommend this delicate/dangerous breaking off in an emergency situation. I would cut myself without an Adrenalin rush, not to think what would happen shacking and close to panic  :ahhh

I did find it "interesting" at least in the fact that somebody thought of it   ???  and gave it a try.

The more I think about using it the more afraid of it I am!   :o

I'm glad somebody else tested it before I bought one.

I bought one of these and kept it in a compartment in my combat boots. I'm not too sure if i want to be in a situation where i'll have to use it
