I ordered based off the description which would make it an S and also there was no mention that the picture was a stock photo. I am hoping the item is exactly as described and shown in the photo.  Mine says it was shipped so we'll see soon enough.

I don't know how rare they are, but I know it seems they're difficult to come by.  If I was lucky enough to get one, I know I'd be carrying it as part of my rotation though :tu:

I didnt think they were released in north America at all, but maybe Im wrong on that.  I thought they were only issued to the dutch military.  The one I got was a military issue.  I looked for a year or more before I got one via a trade.

I'm pretty psyched for this. I'm not a big fan of the scissors on the Spirit X seeing as I pretty much have that covered on a few of my SAKs. I actually use the SAK scissors much less than I thought I would, but they are nice to have for the occasional nail clipping or precise paper cutting.

Went back into my purchase history and indeed this is the same seller that had the very same auction a few weeks ago.  The description was that of an S and I received an X.  Good luck to all of us.

Nope.  I acted like a grown up and realized I still got a steal of a deal and turned around and sold it for about 5.00 more to make up for fees.    I generally dont leave feedback either.  Useless.  If there is a problem I solve it with paypal. 

This time around it will go back though.

I don't think it would be immature or child-like to complain or criticize about a seller who is practicing false advertising (especially if contacting the seller directly in order to confirm the validity of the item).

It takes a special kind of D!ckhead to knowingly practice false advertising in order to make a sale. There seems to be a few of these 'special' kind of people capitalizing off SAKs (just look at the 'crazy' thread in the swiss forum). Hopefully this seller isn't one of these shady people.

Complaining to an immature scammer/seller about false advertising does not make one immature as well. Criticism of such practices is not whining, crying, or an act of immaturity. Besides being an opinion based on personal experience, criticizing or leaving negative feedback would be a warning to others to avoid such d- bag sellers. Feedback on auction sites and forums is a very useful tool for potential buyers to gage whether or not they can trust and work with the seller. I wish there was a feedback rating system here on multitool.org. Feedback is very useful.

I'm going to save my criticism or my praise until I receive the BO Spirit. Although it is a great deal regardless of the model, it is still not okay to falsely advertise items and lie to the customer about it in order to make a sale.

If the one I receive is the BO spirit X, then I will think that the seller is banking on the buyer not wanting to send it back in order to avoid the extra shipping costs, and because it is a good deal anyways. That would be a very sleazy and deceptive thing to do. These kind of people should be put in check and called out on their immoral business practices.

In any case, here's to hoping it will be the BO Spirit S!  :cheers:

I took from this seller several 53810 - came Spirit X BO CC. Spirit S BO - 53815, so that the seller of the title have one model (right, attacked on the box), and photos and descriptions of the other models have. This is certainly bad, but given the price it does not matter.

 I agree with Burnside.  I may very well keep mine as well as I dont have an X model Spirit.  I dont like sellers who put pictures of items along with descriptions detailing that item and send something entirely different.  We will see what arrives as mine is in route and should be here tomm possibly.

The seller replied to me stating that the Spirit in the photos is the spirit being sold. If it is not the Spirit S as pictured in the photos, then the seller is not only a scammer/false advertiser, but he is a blatant lier as well. We're just going to have to wait and see.

The seller has around 16,000 to 17,000 feedbacks left for him. Approximately 600 of the feedbacks are negative. Because he deals in such high quantities of product, he can write off the negative feedback as a statistical loss which does not make a difference to his ebay business in the long run.

I'm pretty much expecting this one to be the Spirit X and not the S. Great price either way, but very shady business practices. I really can't stand that kind of behavior. I'm hoping this isn't the case, but all of the evidence points to that direction.

It doesn't look like the last ones are selling since he/she raised the price!  Seems odd!
