Thanks Kev
That’s a nasty place to get rust
Doesn’t look very easy to keep rust free

It came off very easily with just a fibre pencil for cleaning contacts so it was just surface rust.  As long as I give it a wipe over every couple of months with a mineral oil or something it stays rust free

It’s just a shame that it rusted in the first place
You would think that they would use better materials

I am going to need to live my SOG life, in secret, and vicariously by watching this thread. At least as long as I am in the Rebar challenge.
Nice pic, W! :)

Very nice, guys! :like:

I'm looking forward to getting back to rotating my EDC and carrying SOGs. Need to be able to break pencils with the pliers.  :D

Not carrying at the moment (as if possible), but I just used the SOG Tomahawk today. I bought this thing last year. It did not impress me as first when I tried cutting some branches with it. I put it away, and forgot about it until a couple weeks ago...

This tool is excellent as a light duty hammer + a prybar. I used it to remove thin plywood boards nailed on thin timbers, which were nailed on a basement's cinder blocks. The strike point helps getting a starting hole, then depending on the need, it or the blade end could be used to pry the boards off. I also used it to remove some tight fitting ceiling tiles. The builder left literally no room for ceiling tile removal, with total destroy as only option. I used it again today to remove more plywoods, even took apart a closet with it. The light weight of this Tomahawk made it easy to maneuver.

Using a Tomahawk for a basement obliteration? I guess it can be called a multitool  :D I wished I had taken pictures for a badge

+1 to what W said! :like:

Jaya,
How are you liking the ParaTool?

For being a serious old-school model, it doesn't feel all that antiquated. IMO of course. :)

Thanks Wspeed and GLBM... I like it for its pocketability... only drawback, the handles on occassions doesn’t stack locked in open position... guess I’m still getting used to it... still prefer the PPP over it though...

:salute:
I understand what you mean. The handles want to flail about.  :ahhh I try to forgive that though, because of the era it was designed. :)

Hi all, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here but I had a quick question.  The liner lock on my reactor has malfunction so I sent it back to sog for a replacement and they replied with this:(Image removed from quote.)
So how does the power access compare to the reactor in quality/ruggedness? Thanks in advance.

Sorry nobody answered your question for 2 months.  I don't open this thread often enough.  I think SOG has the best customer service in the business and since they couldn't fix your Reactor they sent you a Power Access, a new model about the same size.  If you wanted something pocket sized the Power Pint may have been a better option, but it may not have been available at the time.  At least they were willing to send you something rather than just saying, "sorry the Reactor is out of production and no longer supported."   At this point I have to assume you have received your replacement tool and have been using it for awhile. How about some pictures and telling us how you like it.
