Does anyone have info on this Wenger from the Alpine Club?
It comes in yellow & black & has the old style wrench.

It actually looks like a modernized version of the old 120mm Everest.
It has the same selection of tools as the Everest, but it has a modern one-hand opening spear point blade instead of the old clip point. It looks it has the new button blade release & it's advertised as 130 not 120.

These were part of a small series of knives made for the Alpine Club of Switzerland.
There is also a black version of the knife you posted (from the same website), plus an additional Ranger with the same tools configuration but with the standard, no one hand opening, blade.
Also an 85mm version, now discontinued, with the compass and the clip point blade.
ColoSwiss has one and posted a picture of it somewhere.

You're absolutely right ... concise; hard to add anything  :tu:

Well the "Alpine Club Switzerland" is primarily a supplier for tourist shops, they also sell Chinese copies of the Vic Classic (and at the same price). If you check out they brand horrible MTs and then sell them in Switzerland to unsuspecting tourists.
I think the brand is intentionally misleading.

The Alpine Club is not to be mistaken for the "Swiss Alpine Club", which is a serious Mountaineer organization (maintains all the alpine huts, where you can stay the nights and takes care of mountain path maintenance).
IIRC there is both a Ranger and an Evo, both with wooden scales branded to the SAC.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Sorry, you got me confused

Is that yellow ranger a genuine wenger or not??
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

It is genuine wenger. Its just a brand (not Wenger, Alpine Club) I totally dislike.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Thank you all for the info.
As already noted, they are legitimate Wengers. They currently have only the black & yellow 130mm rangers for sale.
