What is a trapper? According to Wikipedia :"The trapper is larger knife with a clip and a spey blade. The blades are usually hinged at the same end."They should have a drop point blade and a spey blade (for castrating and buttering toast, hopefully not without some cleaning in between), though some are made with a smaller spear blade (and why would a trapper need to castrate an animal ).They are common, tough, working knives, that were supposedly used by farmers to castrate animals.

Sometimes you'll see muskrats with that same combination of blades.This Remington R1178 mini trapper, is the only trapper I have.
