Look what just arrived... took the time to test fit the ST 300 VX with tool card, extender and LED Solitaire. One side pocket is still vacant.

Cheers!

DT's post reminded me...

I bought a Skinth VS from Hiraethus recently...

While very similar looking to the L-shield (it just doesn't have the side compartiments) the dimensions ARE different. Namely on the cover.

L-Shield + Spirit + pocket wrench + pen + AAA light + Bit set = no problem

VS + Spirit + pocket wrench =  a problem...

The cover is less long. The added bulk from the pocketwrench, even though only a little, prevents the cover from closing completely. Leaving the snap buttons' other half out of reach.

Guess it'll have to serve to store one of my bac-up BO S models.

Does anyone know if both LM bit kit cards will fit in the M-Shield front pocket with a Wave in the main pocket? Seriously considering a Skinth, but the L-Shield looks too bulky.

No, they won't fit.

I'm having trouble fitting 1 filled up bit card in to be honest.

Darn, do you know how the L-Shield compares size-wise to the OEM charge "premium" sheath? That's what I have now.

Umm no, just no.

I was the same as you until I got a L Shield.

I wear it every single day and while it is a little wide it is thin enough that I dont even know it is there.

Honestly the best knife multi tool purchase I have ever made.

Makes carrying a MT, flashlight and pen an effortless proposition.

I think he’s referring to the bit you said about the L shield looking too bulky.
I have one, and when I wear it, most of the time, I don’t even know it’s there.
I remember one time... I needed a SAK, and I walked home to get it, only to realise that I had my L shield on, with the SAK inside it.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

Just to add to the confusion,I have the XL and it is hard to get just the Bit Adapter Kit into the front of that one!

I cold not also add another Bit Kit there and I also do not find the XL too big?

I also have a Medium and the front of that one is pretty tight for a single Bit Card on mine?

After 8 weeks wait, I received my Skinth L-Shield:

(Image removed from quote.)

Peak LED Solutions Eiger
Fisher Bullet
Victorinox Spirit X BO
hex driver extension & 1/4" adapter
Victorinox hex wrench set

Strange.

I just tried to fit my Spirit X and Vic Ratchet set in my L Shield and it would not snap closed.

Maybe something to do with a difference in size between the L wrench and my Ratchet?

I have the same issue on my Skinth VS, which is the predecesor of the L shield.

Don't have any bit cards so I can't answer your question.

I was just replying about you saying the L Shield is bulky.

In no way is it bulky.

Best tool pouch I have ever owned.

So I have a L Skinth that has been carried daily for a year or two. Love it.

Thoight for sure someone said and or posted a picture of a L Skinth with a Wave and two LM Bit Cards in the main pocket.

Just picked up a BO Wave + to use in the Harley's MTO Rotation Challenge in July and they will not all fit in my Skinth. Well to be completely honest they will fit very snug but the flap will not snap closed.

Am I wrong to think some folks made that combination fit or maybe mine is a bit small from the Metro "factory"?

That load won’t fit in my L Shield, either.

I have an XL Shield and that is the smallest to make that work I think?

Works for me at least but with a Spirit X instead if Leatherman

I've seen this picture as well. I hope they both fit because I just ordered an L Shield last week!

That's disappointing. I hope at least one bit card fits, their website claims one will.

Have not tried to put the bit card in the pocket. I carry a Wave and a single bit card in the main pouch with the Wave. Carry a Space Pen and Modded AAA light in the tubes.

XL Shield has been dropped from the store I guess.

Shame because I was very close to buying one and the Mondo is for longer tools like the Surge which I don't own.

Ok so the LM Bit Card will fit in the outside pocket of a L Shield like the pocket was made for it. Pretty sure it was btw.

It will also fit in the main pouch with the Wave.

There is no way to fit both of them though. They will both fit but the flap will not reach to snap close and it is way to tight even if it did for my tastes.

Pictures.

I would send Eric an email anyway and see if there are any left.
I lost my EDC Skinth a few years back and the same story,it had been dropped but there were still a few in stock too!

Of course getting the replacement is what caused me to find the lost one too!
