"Converting" Wenger scissors to Vic
on: February 12, 2014, 02:57:31 PM
I love the Wenger 85mm knives, but I much prefer Vic scissors.
Apart from the fact that the Wenger scissors are driven by the backsprings, it seems the main difference in their actual cutting ability is that the Wengers are serrated, and the Vics plain edged. I much prefer the action of the pain cutting edges of the Vic.

Some of the older Wenger scissors have a screw adjustment. Has anyone ever taken the Wenger scossors apart, removed the serrations, and cut with them? If so, what are they like? What method did you use to remove the serrations, and keep a consistent cutting angle to the blades?
