What next! i was looking at that interview with the Victorinox rep and those rescue lock blades look pretty good. And so does the original swiss army knife model. Where does it all end?!

Well my new swisstool rs showed up today, and yep it certainly is everything it's cracked up to be and it doesen't feel bulky on the hip like the surge. Beautifully made like the spirit too. I kind of have a hollow feeling in me now like, mutitools don't get any better than this so what can I get to better this now!
They say you can't have champagne ideas at beer prices, you can with victorinox!
The swisstool rs is big yet compact and even feels smaller on my hip than the spirit(that I still rate highly).
QuoteThe swisstool rs is big yet compact and even feels smaller on my hip than the spirit(that I still rate highly). How could it feel smaller exactly?
Why, because the outer portions of the tool handles are thinner on the SwissTool?
I can see what he means, if you hold a Spirit in your hand's it feels like a very dense, weighty tool, whereas the Swisstool seem's lighter and smaller despite being the opposite It's a perception thing
I recently go my right hand out of a nasty mess with a Rescue Tool - I think highly of them . Chris

G'day people, i just bought a victorinox swisstool spirit after owning a couple of leathermans and im very impressed. its what ive always wanted and feels perfect. I grew up on the old swiss army knives and the leatherman never impressed me as far as it's quality. I needed a new multitool for my new job as a firefighter so I bought a leatherman surge thinking it would satisfy me. In reality it was a rattly heavy lump that was like carrying a .44 magnum on my belt. I can't even notice the spirit is there until i need it and when i do it feels magic. Good work victorinox!
They never do understand
