Yeah it was cold going out to the kielder forest area tomorrow should be pics on sunday. We don't normaly break out the cold weather gear we normaly just wear the usual buffalos or montanes. Check out a shop in whitley bay www.outdoorworld.co.uk

Sometimes the trouble with Government funding can be Government involvment and interfering . Then you start to loose a grip on the very organisation that the local people formed .

Stopped selling them a few years back as they couldn't be modified to meet the safety standards (i think) The North American ones also had a slightly different spec to the UK ones if i remember correctly

You are correct, sir.  It's a real shame.  The discontinued Defenders command a high price here, and are owned mostly by the elite and not those who would put them to proper work.
