Apparently Ka-Bar released a version of the Classic as a skeletonized neck knife.  Shorter blade, but same profile.

Despite moving to 4-5" blades for hunting and around camp, when it doubt, I reach for my Ka-bar. I' own a couple, both Ka-bar and clones, and for a biggish, sharp, throwable, cold weather, hot weather, "you get to carry this and a multi on your way through hell" knife, it's still my favorite.

Yes its an early one,
An old friend was using it for gardening  :o he said it would be better for it to live with me  :)
