This one is a bit out of my comfort zone - and it was a bit difficult to choose where to put it on this site. It could be in Swiss Army Knights but maybe not, in the collectors forum(?), edged tools, and so on. I will put it here as it is the general forum and I just got it home.

A NOS Pruner. An old one. The newer ones do not have three rivets. And the stamps on the blade... The "wonky" VICTORIA 437 /11 and SWISS MADE is said to have been used (internet source) between circa 1940 and 1970 and the other side stamp is said to be 1952 to 1986. If going by this the knife was made between 1952 and 1970. Give or take some years. If anyone has more/closer info please tell.

My wife wanted it immediately she saw it but I sad "no way this goes into the garden"... I will have to get her a similar but in used condition.

According to a catalog the wood is rosewood.

Size to a Pioneer X

Happy to have it.

 :iagree: :tu:

One of them "universal sockets"

This is a Chinese made version  https://www.amazon.co.uk/BIIB-Universal-Socket-7-19mm-Multi-Function/dp/B07VMCRQVD?th=1

I used to have a Gator one (which was far better constructed) but they're out of stock on Amazon (UK) or anywhere else that sells them.

https://originalgatorgrip.com/gator-grip-products/

I'm sure it won't be as good as the Gator one but it will come in handy when the move happens and my full socket set is in a box...somewhere  :dunno:

Here it is with my Wera Zyklop Mini

Are Gator grips good? Or is there a better one than them? Or just stick with a simple run of sockets?

Hi JR, the Gator one I had was very good (I just can't find it  ::)) Although not a replacement for a decent full set of sockets.

I did once use mine to loosen an axle nut on my motorbike and there were no issues  :tu:

This more of an emergency use type thing if I can't be bothered to head off to the garage (which is in a seperate building block)

It'll live in a kitchen drawer or similar with a basic set of "in-house" tools for at hand use and running repairs etc.

I got this today. I wasn't even aware there was such a thing until my mate (who has one) told me about it  :dunno:

I had to fill out an official Gov't application and rememeber my Regular Army & Territorial Army (Reserve) service dates  but I managed  ;)

Given that it's sent by the MoD it's surprisingly well made and better than most of the junk I had to fire/throw or eat during my service

That is a nice badge. Thanks for your service!  :salute:

I found a pair of Channel Lock lineman pliers at a yard sale in a container of random garage tools. They must be at least 40 years old, no rust, no blue handles and they still cut. Best part was the price of $1.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

Came across this crescent branded bear jaws at an antique store Monday for $10. I removed the blade, saw, awl, and can opener (all the sharps) and put in washers to make a tool for my son. As he demonstrates competent handling of the tool I’ll add the sharps back in.

Not the best made tool I’ve ever seen, but for $10 it’s more than worth it for the intended purpose.

Been local mom and pop shopping for a new shotgun. Went in a place I haven’t been in years. All the knives. And a full display of new old stock Wengers. Bought a Evogrip 18 NIB. Probably overpaid but wow. They don’t cycle through stuff so I’m going to be going back for awhile to clear them out.
