I just got off my lazy ass last night and made a soft leather pocket sleeve to keep my folders/SAKs from getting scratched when I carry them with my keys, coins, etc.

Need to take a better photo of the final result. The knives are the ones that are going to be riding inside it.

5" x 1/2" ferro rods x 2. Harder than my cheapo ones, but give off a great amount of sparks so should last me forever.

Handle material to order now I've got them.

A JPST.

Which variant ?

After a bit of checking (not stalking, honest !   ;)   :pok:  ) I can answer my own question:

A JPST v5 with solid rivets.  Looks like it might clean up nicely with a little elbow grease - nice score  :tu:

Picked up a brand new skeletool for 1 cent today at Home Depot.  At first they said they can't sell it to me, but the employee said he will take the responsibility.  The cashier was reluctant to sell it for a penny, she said she was going to get in trouble.

This just arrived from a deal I did with Aloha007, a shiny new Leatherman Signal

but with it being this forum that is full of such generous and helpful people, and the deal was with Aloha007, when I opened the box it wasn't alone and was greeted with this loveliness....

Aloha was as generous as ever and also sent me....

A ferro rod with a gorgeous wood handle
4 sticks of fat wood
Some char cloth so I can test out my flint and steel that I just got
A bundle of denim material to have a go at making my own char cloth again (2 failed attempts so far)
A vaseline impregnated compressed cotton tinder
And my own California surf dude wheels  :tu:

Thanks again Aloha

I totally forgot what I sent.  That cotton thing is  knock off of a tinder quick.  Fluff and hit with a spark.  Now you my friend are an official Cali surf dude 8) with that El Camino.  I scraped off the black coating from the ferro rod to make sure she was going to actually throw sparks.  Plus I wanted to make sure the Red Cedar handle would stay on since its friction fit.

Now go earn your fire lighting badge  :salute:

A micrometer about a week ago. I was a little bored so I measured the plier tips on my multitools. The tip is obviously at the smallest part and body is the width of a single side, not the joint.

Style PS          TIP 2.15  BODY 1.8
Skeletool         TIP 2.25  BODY 2.75

Wow! Any repeats for your collection?

The package has 4xCrossCut, 3xMini Bear Jaws, and 2xGerber Eclipse. I might sell something, not too sure.

Ranger Grip 79 - my first 130mm. I always felt this was a bit of an awkward size for EDC, but I got it at a price I could not refuse. It will probably live in the car for picnics and those day-excursions with the kids.

Micra for the car keys. Replaced the blade with a modified washer as spacer to keep it legal.

We went to the store(CVS) and we were walking around and I stumbled over these in the travel section, where they have the mini toothpaste, shampoo, and bars of soap. I have no clue what there for, it says "really useful box" on the side but I just thought they were so freaking cute, and only for $1, I couldn't pass them up! What I'm going to do with them idk?

A JPST.

Which variant ?

After a bit of checking (not stalking, honest !   ;)   :pok:  ) I can answer my own question:

A JPST v5 with solid rivets.  Looks like it might clean up nicely with a little elbow grease - nice score  :tu:

Thanks Greg!  I've wanted one for a while.  Patience paid off.

Well... I counted my chickens before they hatched.  I posted this before I received it. Six days later, it still hasn't mailed. Contacted the seller.  His story, he shipped it to the wrong person and is waiting for it to come back.  I asked for a full refund.

Yep, I'm trying to be understanding, human error and all that,  but the lack of communication has me skeptical of his story.  I'll feel better once I get my refund.
