We used to go to flea markets allll the time, either flea market or camping, sometime it would suck, sometime a large load, but normally just a few things, yet the one market had the most perfect chicken strips, we would buy a large order for walking around, then before we left buy another large order to take home, but that meant more or less just wait till the kids fell asleep and it was ares for the ride home, hehe..

Our local flea markets are hit and miss.  Thats the way it goes.  We see lots of things but not stuff we like.  Fun no matter what IMO.

Got two diff items, well one is three, it’s a popcorn popper, we also got seeds and flavoring for it, it’s very unique the wife wants something to snack on that doesn’t have all the calories, we thought of getting an air popper but saw this little guy. You dump the seeds in, put the lid on then nuke them, when done sprinkle it with flavoring, that kit she got has 8 diff flav so she can change it up, not too bad..

The other item is rope, this stool has become a furball fav so I fig maybe it could use a little design like my other stools, but since this one is wood I fig rope rather then paracord would go better, kinda old school.. I just hope 100’ is enough :-\

Here’s the pattern I fig of doing..

Ok, here’s an update, I kinda ran a little short so I switched a few things around and here’s the finished project.. as for the cat idk? He loves paracord but this sisal pet rope he doesn’t seem to really like? He loves this stool especially since it sits in front of the window, it’s “his stool” but now with the rope on it he hasn’t gotten on it, he sniffed it out and that’s it, I sat him on it but nothing.. here’s a few pics..

Picked up some waxed sinew and a pretty rusted old surge that I harvested some parts I needed.

A pair of Engineers pz-58 pliers. https://www.amazon.com/Engineer-PZ-58-Screw-Pliers-GT/dp/B002L6HJAA

For those that don't know them, they are designed to grab screws and other round objects from above, at the tip of the jaws. I ordered them in anticipation of maybe doing a PST mod in the near future, but after having to pull out two screws with mangled heads this morning, I'm going to say they've half paid for themselves. Considering I picked them up yesterday at the post office, that's a pretty rapid ROI. Given how well they worked, they are tagging along tomorrow when I look at how a friend screwed up swapping the forearm on his rifle.

These are serious pliers, probably one of the best pairs I own, and they are amazingly well made. The machining is impeccable. I like Japanese tools for a reason- German engineering at a better price.  :D

Specialized, but I'm liking them.

Something about a Buck that makes me think of the knives that were around when I was a kid.

I think it is the bolsters and blade shape mostly. Very classic.

yesterday I saw film where sheath knives and classic backlocks were ever present (Captain Fantastic, with Viggo Mortensen). He used a Buck folder, a Buck fixed blade, and other schrades, Bucks, and KaBars appeared through the film.  ::)

Purely American essence in the screen, the movie is also very American centric and a criticism to American society as of today  :salute:

Every time I see a Buck classic American films, books and shows come to mind  :tu:
