Nice one MMR let us know what you think of the welder when you have used it  :tu: :like:

I had a little spare time today, so even though it is -5C outside, and I haven't recieved my proper welding mask and other welding stuff yet, I still decided to just give it a go on some scrap metal I had laying around.

To my own surprise, because it's gasless it is a lot more "sparky" than I thought it would be, almost like a stick welder.

My first attempt didn't turn out very pretty, but that was not the welders fault as I had miscalculated its adjustments, so that the wire speed was too high, I started out on 10, so I ended up making huge blobs of welds.

I also started out on 90A, which also to my own surprise was too high for the metal I was welding, as it literally turned half of it glowing red,  so I turned it down to 70A ........and that's when I ran out of metal to weld  :( ...but the few cm I got to weld 2-3mm metal on 70A also with the wire speed turned down to 7 from 10, it felt more right, but still not very "pretty" welds.

I think when I receive my proper welding mask, it will also be a lot easier to get right, because with the handheld and none auto-dimming mask, I first of all only had one hand to weld with, but also I couldn't see what I was doing until 2/3 into the weld, the whole start of the weld I had to guess and feel my way through.

But regardless, I think I just need a bit more practice with it, as it not only welds differently than the ones I learned to weld with, but also my welding experience is pretty much a week long course I took about two years ago and haven't welded since (until today).

Not to mention, this thing cost about 1/8th of price of getting a professional welding guy to come out to my parents house and weld their fence and flower box supports, so It's a win-win situation regardless.  :)

But tell you what; once I have gotten a bit more familiar with it and practiced a bit more, I will do a proper review of it.  :tu:

Honestly I didn't expect such quality. These pliers are well executed, the switch from needle nose to regular pliers is very smooth and ingenious. I think is just necessary to check if the steel is well hardened. I found a pictures of it on pinterest, so checked on amazon and decided to buy; but before That, I didn't know exist these pliers! Anyone knew?

In today's mail, a Marbles Camp Combo. I previously had both in the gadget drawer collection, but they ended up with my Pa or maybe it was a brother-in-law a few years ago. I had a gift card to use up, so the new set will probably get a lanyard or two to go with 'em until someone's birthday or some such comes up...  :D

I got this horrible light!
It was cheap and I hoped it might be decent for working inside racks where it can stick by the magnet in the tail.
The clippy thing is a holster that it can live in and it sticks in there with the magnet too.
So it has 2 brutal light levels in "White" ,1 Red,1 Green and a flashy red and scrolls through all of them to off.

Feels solid and good run times listed on package.

Not recommended :twak:

These babies arrived. T3 MP400, T3 MP600, and T3 MP700.
The 600 and 700 were in packaging, but it was yellowed and brittle. Let the Gerbers breath!
