Thanks GLBM. I’ll check later what version model I have.  :tu:
Looking forward to that.
The PowerAccess, in my opinion, is an underrated tool. SOG made a big mistake not developing a smaller version of it, and in turn developed junk like the PowerDuo and PowerPlay(junk relative the PowerAccess/Lock lineage).

Seems I have one like your middle picture with the hex nuts. Quality is on par with my modern LMs. Just think the tools are not proportional to the overall size because of the gearing, when compared to my ST300 and Wave. Still a good tool, if a bit of a fiddler.  :like:

Very nice, Max! :like:

That is one of the transitional versions I believe. The only two variations I know of are, one with mild serrations, and one with aggressive serrations on the SE blade.
IMO, hands down, the best pair of NN pliers on any MT. But, as you say, the toolset is a bit short. Guess the PowerAssist is an ideal tool for someone who needs assisted blades and crazy good NN pliers.
First time I saw someone use a PowerLock/Assist was when the cable guy came to my house and I asked him if he needed pliers(he was fiddling with a splitter I had installed and knew he wasn't going to unscrew those coax ends without a tool), and he pulled out a nearly 20yo PowerLock and flipped it around. Started looking for a SOG afterwards and eventually saw a NIP PowerPlier V.3 at the store I work at. The SOG obsession may have escalated from there.

Sorry for the rambling. :ahhh

Good info GLBM.  :like:

For me, the SOG PPP is a winner. As compact as a PST for EDC but better pliers and stronger frame. Sadly, almost no SOG representation in my country.  :(

BTW, never got a notice for your shipment. Now too long, so have to consider possibility of lost in transit.  :(

Thanks for the update, Max. Yeah, I think we can call it a loss. Oh well. First time it has happened in the last dozen or so MTs I've sent to members. Maybe someone at the post office decided to examine the package and then decided to have the Multi-Plier examine their pocket.

Very true on the PPP. One of the best pocket tools indeed. I like the Paladin PT-510 frame with the gear guards, but with the PPP Deluxe toolset and pliers installed. May try to make one of those at some point. :)

Congrats.  The Swisstool has been a favorite of mine for a while.  I had a few of them but settled on the standard version.  Its a big one but disciplined in my hand.

Great Swisstool Antti. I also have an original model I got in 2002. Interesting that they changed the pivot 'direction' in later models.  :like:

Solid piece of equipment Antii, but yes - a bit of a nail-breaker...  :pok:

I've always been too embarrassed to ask (or too lazy to go looking), but I have no idea what those apostrophe -shaped cutouts are for on the plier pivot back-springs?  :dunno:

And I must say that I'm peasantly pleased  :D

Thank you very much Mags  :hatsoff:

Btw, Tim decided to stay with me instead of going back to Mags U-Boat  :dunno:

There's an optional corkscrew attachment that fits in there, Max

100, 1" hook and loop sanding pads and a mandrel to fit my dremel for them, and 2 hook & loop backing pads for my 4" angle grinders, and 100 sanding pads of various grits for them.

:like:  Big fan of mine. Probably the best twelve dollars I've spent on a knife. My only complaint is that the friction mechanism restricts me from making certain cuts .But for 99% of tasks, it works great. Plus, I can completely disassemble it for cleaning and easily put it back together again, using nothing but a common slotted SD.

Thanks Cody, yes it's a very simple concept that.
