My mother picked this up for $1 at a yard sale this morning and gifted it to me. My mother rocks. :woohoo:

A half hour of cleaning/oiling and it looks brand new. The sheath still looks worn, but not in a bad way.  :)

That’s the best Dollar sale I have ever seen GLBM!  :like:

And the worn holster actually gives it a lot of character.  :tu:

That Chinese Tread does look pretty good.  I wore my Tread for a little bit and its a cool item for sure, spendy but cool.

It's really good.  I needed to take one link out for it to fit better so chose the oxygen wrench one with 2 imperial Allen on it. I've worn it since to see how I get on with it and so far I like it.

She is a bargain hunter if I've ever seen one. I've seen people lower prices on piles of yard sale stuff, and she didn't even ask for a discount.

Great deal  :like:
Thank you, CeHo!

Sure is satisfying when a $1 tool looks like one I would have paid decent money for; after heavy duty cleaning/polishing of course. The inch-only ruler(bit with ground awl) dates it around the mid-late 1980s. :)

It's really good.  I needed to take one link out for it to fit better so chose the oxygen wrench one with 2 imperial Allen on it. I've worn it since to see how I get on with it and so far I like it.
Thank you for sharing your experiences on the Chread, Kev! My curiousity has been piqued.

Not the most exciting tool, but a good quality small 6in shifter for my truck toolbox.  :tu:

Nice one!   :like: I use an old American-made Crescent a lot--we have quite a few in that size; Craftsman, Crescent, Klein, and Stanley as well as who knows off-brand.  6" is probably the best all-round size for general use and small kits. My tool box has both a 6" (Crescent USA) and a 10" Williams USA in it.  I'm normally biased against the newer imported Crescent stuff, but it's not bad. Our Tractor Supply was clearing out some pliers, and I got a 6" and a 10" pair of slipjoint pliers for $2 (both, actually). Some of the best pliers I have used. Really good fit and finish.

Great 👍 these tools are very useful. In Germany we call it „Rollgabelschlüssel“. I have one from Hazet or Gedore - the quality is outstanding. It’s part of my EDC

Rillgabelschlüssel is a great word/saying(?) for an adjustable wrench. :o
Makes it sound like a wrench we also use as a hammer. :like:
