Really cool scales sos!

I actually am fairly jealous of Smokey Bear ones! Are the WWP charity? Do the proceeds go to WWP?

Thanks.  I love the different custom scales, because I think they add even more character to the utility.

The Smokey the Bear are an exclusive at SMKW.  They have 4 different versions.

With the WWP, I think it is 5% of msrp goes to Wounded Warrior Project.  The scales were designed by Veterans and as part of the project Victorinox donated a set amount to a veteran artist organization.

Got a few gems in today.

Gerber Cable Dawg.
Paladin PowerPlay PT-525.
Leatherman PST BO CC.
Gerber Myth Archery.

The BO PST CC is amazing. Near mint condition with the only wear being from the pliers pivot rubbing the inside of the handle. :o

Thank you, Max!

I was even able to get the crud off of the handles that made the finish look odd before. Some kind of dried adhesive or something.  :dunno:

It is mostly gone now though.

I have to ask, with the risk of sounding stupid, but... is that a mirror image of the US flag? And if so, does that have some special meaning? Does it have something to do with the "forward facing" flag on military uniforms (i.e. mirrored flag on the right sleeve) and on the right hand side of spacecraft and aircraft?

Does it have something to do with the "forward facing" flag on military uniforms (i.e. mirrored flag on the right sleeve) and on the right hand side of spacecraft and aircraft?
The rule is that when a flag is hung vertically the honour point (i.e., the top-left hand corner) should still be at the top-left. This means that most flags rotate 90 degrees and are then turned over. For example, the US flag has to be reversed to keep the canton in the top-left.

Why is the Flag patch "backwards" on Military uniforms?

Following is a quote from the Department of Defense website...

"Thank you for your inquiry about the proper placement of the American flag on the uniform of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Army Regulation 670-1, “Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia,” updated most recently September 5, 2003, addresses explicitly the proper and lawful placement of the U.S. flag patch on the Army uniform.

The regulation states that when authorized for application to the proper uniform the American flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that “the star field faces forward, or to the flag’s own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observer’s right, and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward. The appropriate replica for the right shoulder sleeve is identified as the ‘reverse side flag’.”

We appreciate and share your concern for the respectful display of our American flag on the uniform of the U.S. Armed Forces."

For more information on Army Regulation 670-1 please visit the following web site, http://www.usapa.army.mil/pdffiles/r670_1.pdf

"When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window, the American flag should be displayed in the same way, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street."

Way off multitools, but I got my first piece to my puzzle, that I’m building,
A recumbent trike, some of these things go for over $5k so building my own using old bikes!
But here’s what I bought, this will be used for the handlebars, gears and most importantly that back section with the spring to give a little comfort!
A little old but looked good and works!

I got this a while back, I found it at the store for only $1, but it was one of those chia pets, that you spread seeds add water and it gross that fuzzy plant? The Mrs said she would give it a try but I had other ideas besides it was only $1, so after he so called plant didn’t grow she hand it over to me, so it went into the project box, so I had some time and did what I as thinking back when we bought it, I painted it! Figured it would be a cool like watch holder or something, I was never that great at model painting, besides this is gloss and I don’t think zombies are shiny
Anyway tell me what you think..
