The Biggest and Smallest MT you'd EDC

So what's the biggest and smallest MT's you'd be prepared to carry on a regular basis

Mine would have to be...

The Biggest would have to be my Swisstool's, it really is at the upper limit of what I'd be prepared to carry on my belt, any bigger and it would have to be relegated to a bag.

The smallest would have to be the Spirit, any smaller and your better off going down the Sak route in my opinion

What about you guy's

The smallest MT I have EDC on and of for the past 10 years is SOG Paratool. I love the Paratool and it has been faithful every time. Have handled the SOG Crosgrip and that’s way too small for me. Haven’t handled a lot of MT, butt the few I have tried have been the size of the Paratool and I always chose the SOG. Simply because that you can change and rearrange the tools on it, and it’s very comfortable to handle when you are using the pliers.

The biggest MT I am EDC’ing now is the SOG Powerlock. I love big MT, so the bigger the better.

The biggest I EDC is of course the SURGE!!!

The smallest I go is usually the SOG Switchplier.

I could live with any tool from Leatherman PST/ Pulse on the small side to the Swisstool, Leatherman Core/Surge, SOG Powerlock on the large side.

I did EDC a Juice XE6 for about a year, but in the end it just wasn't large enough or strong enough for my use.

I can carry just about any tool if I carry it in a holster on my belt, but I don't carry mine that way normally. I carry mine clipped in a pocket. That is one of the reasons I EDC a Charge with a pocket clip.

There are several factors that affect my EDC choice. Some that come to mind are, size, weight, how I carry it, does it have the tools that I want/need. Another is the pants/clothes I'm wearing. For example I can carry larger/heavier tools in jeans than I could in dress slacks. One of the reasons I prefer black oxide is because the black pocket clip is less noticeable.

My favorite multitools are the Spirit, Spirit S, Wave, Charge. Specifically BO Spirit S, BO Wave and BO Charge Ti.

The main thing is to have a multitool when you need it. In my opinion just having a multitool is more important than which make or model assuming it has the tools you need. I think finding a tool you're happy with depends on what you wear and how you carry it as well as it having the tools you need.

I'll edc anything from a P4 to a Surge if they fit the day well, but I normally carry a Juice or "regular" 4' size.

I assume you mean as your "main tool", so I'll say the biggest is the Surge, and the smallest I'd consider carrying without feeling under tooled would be the Spirit/

I'll pretty much EDC any multi that will fit in my pockets. I toted around a Freehand for a few weeks once, kept me from having to exercise.

I prefer normal-size tools that are on the slimmer side but have a full-loadout. Paratool and the Spirit are good examples of this.

Smaller keychain tools generally don't hit the EDC rotation but everynow and again I'll carry one if I'm just going to class or something close to home. I have been EDCing a IDL Tools T10 for the past week or so but that is fairly out of character for me.

Uhh... Well IDK. Personally, my biggest is my Flik (don't really carry) and my smallest is my Micra (Don't really carry). If I go back to my old setup, the biggest would be my Charge TTi, and my smallest, a Wenger Evogrip 18

The smallest multi-tool(not counting SAK's) I have carried was a Schrade Tough Chip. The biggest I have ever carried was a LM Supertool but I only carried it for a couple of months when I worked at a lumber yard and I only carried it when I was working. The biggest I've ever carried for EDC is my Spirit.
