Many people, including me, find spine mounted Phillips to be be pretty useless (much preferring inline) while finding the corkscrew useful for many things (holding mini-screwdriver, teasing knots out of rope, jewelry, etc.) not even counting opening wine (which I don't drink).

I don't care for the corkscrew either. Or for that matter any of the implements on the backsprings.
