Very very cool knife!!

Here`s another 100 mm, vintage victorinox.

This one is not that old. Not seen many 100 mm officer knives. No idea why they produced such an uncommon, rare line...

I don't suppose this thread can be deleted ...... its depressing me ..... ;)

Not sure why I added the 'Winking Thing' I was much happier in my ignorance of this knives existence.

But now I guess I have a new grail knife  :)

please link on this ebay seller?

You wouldn't be able to get any more info on the SAK from the listing, and some like to keep their privacy as anyone reading here could backtrack their bids/feedback to their account and future listings, purchases, ...

Another very interesting knife. Don't recall seeing another Victorinox with bolsters on both ends.

Very nice. Any pictures of the bottom? Looks like it could be made from the same springs. I've never seen a Victorinox like that, either. It doesn't look like it has the right shape to be a 2/5 or anything from the "fractional" series. Doesn't look like a 200 or a 300 series knife either.

Last pictures - someone asked about the scissors in this. They are not the 91mm scissors, but 100mm specific scissors, scales up from their 91mm counterparts appropriately. Here's a comparison with vintage 91mm and 84mm:

Wow - Missed this post earlier but caught it via a link in another post from Detron - Thanks mate.

Hey Jazzbass - As a new SAK collector (started last year)  I love the older stuff too
- But I get excited when I find something pre 60s or even pre 70s.
You take it to whole other level

Thanks for sharing this - Lovely find and very interesting - and yep the oddities are even more fascinating.
Love your theories on all the model/production whys and wherefores - (eg Hans and Friedrich on the production line :) )  It all seems very plausible to me.

Nice one

And as many of us have said before - Can't wait for the book!!

Thanks, jazzbass! Threads like these are one of the big reasons why I follow this forum. I have a few people who I can talk about knives with, but not SAKs on this level.  :salute:

Nope, dead for me too.

jazzbass must have been moving pictures to other locations/folders.

(@jazzbass: If you have new links, feel free to PM them to me and I'll repair the broken ones.)
