I've used those many times while helping a friend clear brush on his property, and they do work great.

If I owned property requiring lots of brush clearing, I'd probably get one.

However, they are somewhat expensive, fairly heavy, and highly specialized.  Unless you plan on chopping a whole lot of heavy brush - and they are great for that - you might be better off getting a kukri or a machete.

I've lusted after one of those for years :drool:. I doubt it'd be as good as my Kukri, but it still look's very capable :)
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

they do look heavy but some interesting idea's in that.

A fine tool, rugged and handy.  I might not want to lug it around in the mountains, but closer to home or vehicle it is very well done.

I like the look of that.   I've been hunting round the car boot sales for a bill hook for sometime, one of the regular tool guys has an old one but he wants a tenner!  As it wood need cleaning up and a new handle I haven't bought it but I'm weakening :(
