LM Blast Mod
on: June 04, 2008, 05:17:33 AM
I can't take the credit(or blame) for this Mod.   I got it this way.  I bought a tool I wanted off of ebay and the Blast came with it.      The large flathead driver has been turned into a small blade.  The can opener has been filed down into an awl and the file now has a scraper on the end of it.

Very interesting and functional mods. I like the small blade, how does it cut?

Definately will not be shaving any hair with the blade.  But I think it would be very usefull for some jobs to save wear and tear on the big blade.   Somebody good at sharpening could help the blade.. But I have never learned the art of blade sharpening.

The scraper on the end of the file is something I've seen before........but I can't remember where.  ???

Seems like it would come in handy on occasion.

Very good ideas I like the scraper idea, plus seems like the easiest way to change one of the tools ;) The other two would just take a little more time and patience with a good grinder  Thanks for the pics

Hi Bob,

The Gerber 400 Fisherman has (in some variations) a scraper or chisel end to the file.

Best - Joe
