I've always admired the Fallkniven F1.  It seems like a very capable knife.  :like:  I think I'd like it more if they made it with removeable wooden or Micarta scales.

I don’t own one, but I believe the slabs on the F1x are removable.

Well, thanks to your frequent praise and the fact that I got a good deal, I now have one of these on the way.

:hatsoff: I hope you like it.  The only issue I've ever had with it is that the handle seems a little slippery.  If they had Micarta handles or added some checkering it would help.  One of these days I may set up the drill press and put in some dimples to improve the grippiness.  Anyway, where did you find the good deal on it?  I keep thinking I should order another one as a backup.

Got one NIB off the ‘bay for $75 ($86 with tax & shipping).  I thought this was a pretty good deal, but I see they are now only around $92 on the big river site.  I thought they were up over $100 last time I looked.

As much as you seem to like this knife, I definitely think a backup is in order.

I think you did alright on the price.  I haven't seen it cheaper in a long time.  Looking forward to your thoughts on this knife when you finally have it to hand.
