Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

I think Paul Sellers is a huge advocate of inexpensive carving tools (or better said woodworking) if you can sharpen 'em.

Technically I am carrying both of these because the guys at work wanted to see them. My boss was none to happy that I had the Chris Caine here though when he saw me putting it away in my desk drawer.

The conversation was something like this...

BOSS: why have you brought that weapon to work?
ME: It's not a weapon, it's a tool, and I brought it to show my guys as they were curious about it when I told them about it.
BOSS: Well it could be used as a weapon.
ME: So could my walking stick or the screwdriver and metal pens on my desk.
BOSS: Well you could have my head off with that.
ME: If I hit you hard enough with my walking stick I bet I could achieve that.
BOSS: Well yes, mumbled something I couldn't make out. Just go lock it in your car or something.
ME: OK, will do.

He's an electrical engineer with at least 30+ years experience. I was surprised he took such a narrow minded view of it and instantly saw it as only a weapon.

Your boss is an ideal candidate to be locked in your boot Kev. Take the Surge out first though - unless you reckon he'd be too frightened to use it.  :D
